Well, I’m almost on my way out of the East Coast and on my way to the West Coast. I figure to see some sights in the middle somewhere as I’m off to grad school in ESRI’s backyard.
Because of that, everyone and their mother, thinks I’m off to drink the Kool-Aid.
No, no, no!
It’s geographic information science—yes, with ESRI buttonology—but I plan on using it to do “good things.” It just depends on what I decide to work on for my final project. Will it be a cheap and easy ESRI in a box project? An open source f-u project? An interesting non-ESRI proprietary project? Or, a mix of the right tools for the right job?
Personally, right tools for the right job is what I’m really interested in.
Anyway, I have packing to do and a final project to figure out.
